RECs

When solar installations aren’t an option, we turn to and provide renewable energy certificates, or credits (RECs). RECs represent the rights to the environmental, social and other non-power attributes of renewable electricity generation.

RECs represent a quick and easy way for organizations to make their electricity green if solar, or other renewable projects, aren’t an option.

According to the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency, because the physical electricity we receive through the utility grid says nothing of its origin or how it was generated, RECs play an important role in accounting, tracking, and assigning ownership to renewable electricity generation and use.

Carbon Offsets

In much the same way that RECs counter traditional electrical usage, carbon offsets counter our greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions. Carbon offsets can offset transportation, air travel, natural gas usage, electrical usage and a variety of other GHG-producing business factors.
